The thirty-fourth edition of Hart’s Rules was published in June 1948, price three shillings and sixpence, length 143 pages. Hart’s usual 1914 Preface is followed by Frederick Hall’s 1925 note and a new addition by Charles Batey (see below).

In this Thirty-Fourth edition further corrections and additions have been made. Once again acknowledgement is made to the various correspondents and contributors to whose suggestions and notes he success of this little book is in some measure due.
