The thirty-first edition of Hart’s Rules was published in December 1938, price two shillings and sixpence. It was published by Humphrey Milford in London and printed by John Johnson in Oxford. The extent was 143 pages.

In this Thirty-first Edition further corrections and additions have been made. Once again acknowledgement is made to the various correspondents and contributors to whose suggestions and notes the success of this little book is in some measure due.
