The twelfth edition of Hart’s Rules was published in January 1902, by Henry Frowde in London and printed in Oxford by Horace Hart. The list of editions formerly at the front of the book has now been moved to the back, and the addition of a third appendix following those for the division of Greek and Latin words—the ‘Possessive Case of Proper Names’ by Dr J. A. H. Murray (of the OED)—which pushed the extent to 30 pages.
