ABOUT
|
Having run through thirty-nine editions (the last in 1983), a new edition of Hart is now complete, which greatly expands and updates the range of information offered. This volume, called The Oxford Guide to Style (OGS), was published in February 2002 as the Harts Rules for the 21st Century. Like its companion volume ODWE, OGS is in a much enlarged format and is now well over 600 pages in length. It carries into the new century the treasurehouse of information that those who deal with the written word have depended upon for generations. The readership is anyone who uses the English language professionally or in their studiessuch as writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, journalists, technical writers, or anyone writing a thesis or other work for examination or publication. Similarly, it is invaluable for media studies, journalism, and publishing or printing courses at university or college, as well as for professional proofreading and editing courses. Contents
